Affiliated Orgs Rep
Hi! I’m Niall, a second year law student and JCR appreciator. On an average day you’ll find me going between my room and the library while I try and get through my reading list and endlessly complain about how long it is. I’m also on the United Nations Association’s Committee, and a new convert to iced coffee.
In the JCR I’m your Affiliated Organisations and Careers Rep, and Michaelmas Term (that’s Winter Term) Returning Officer. That means my duties include attending Student Union meetings to represent your views, liaising between the JCR Committee and the Student Union’s events, liaising with our alumni and other organisations we’re affiliated, along with running a careers fair every year. As Returning Officer I run the term’s elections, which include much of the committee including my own role as Affiliated Organisations and Career Rep, I’m also expected to know a lot about the standing orders which govern the JCR, as it’s my job to interpret them when it comes to elections.
