Arts Fest took place in 2nd week, Trinity Term '07.
Arts Fest Schedule
Wednesday 2nd May
7pm: 'Multicolour' Menu in Formal Hall; Colourful clothing encouraged!
Thursday 3rd May
1-2 pm: Launch in Front Quad; Join in the pavement art, balloon launch, and be amazed by the circus performers!
2pm: Music Recital in the JCR; Refreshments will be served.
7pm: The Oxford Belles, Oxford University's sassiest female a cappella group, will be singing for us in our own JCR.
8pm: Screening of 'Princess Mononoke', the renowned Japanese animated film by Hayao Miyazaki, in the MCR. Cadbury's Fingers and other chocolate delights will be provided!
10pm: Scary stories read outdoors in Fellows' Garden, followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows in JCR.
Friday 4th May
10-11am: Meet in the lodge then set off on a drawing and photography expedition of Oxford. Art materials will be provided, please bring your own camera.
1-2pm: Picnic accompanied by acoustic outdoor recital in Rose Lane.
4-6pm: 'Exec sculptures' in Front Quad; admire your very own JCR Exec posing as classical sculptures!
6.30-7.30 pm: Join in the reading of a Shakespeare or Oscar Wilde play of your choice in the JCR.
8pm: Performance by The Oxford Imps in the JCR!
9.30-11pm: Live Jazz and Cocktails in the MCR. (Entry fee of £1)
Saturday 5th May
10-11am: Flower hairpin workshop (for the Ball) in the Mure room.
1-2pm: Piano lunchtime recital in the Mure room; refreshments served.
3-6pm: Life class session in the Mure room. Get in touch with the committee if you'd like to attend!
9pm-12am: Salsa Ball in the Sports Pavilion!
(Tickets sold on Sunday 29th April, 10am-1pm in front of Merton Lodge)
Sunday 6th May
All day art exhibition in the JCR.
11am: Egg Painting workshop in JCR!
12pm: Group trip to the Ashmolean.
2pm: Food workshop in JCR room; get in contact if you fancy giving a hand in preparing some beautiful food for the Welfare tea.
4pm: Welfare Tea in the JCR, accompanied by acoustic guitar and various hands-on activities such as origami and an open canvas!
5pm: Announcement of the winner of the ArtsFest Competition.
9pm: Oxford's very own Quiller-Couch, performing live in the JCR.
