Morning all,

I'm still looking for September open day helpers, for Friday September 14th. If you live near enough that you can get here and back for under £50 then you won't incur any costs, you'll get a couple of free meals and (hopefully) have a great time chatting to applicants. An open day is only really ever useful if there are people to chat to who can tell you what the place is really like, so please do volunteer if you're going to be free!

I've attached the agenda for Sunday's OGM - please take a look through, we're planning to get Dave a 25 years service present so any thoughts on what to get him are appreciated! Send me an e-mail if you're not going to be at the OGM and I'll put them up for discussion.

We'll be husting for a new bar rep (for which I think approximately half of college will be standing):

1. Liaison with, and helping the Bar staff.
2. Maintenance of all JCR facilities in the Bar area and the MacKeith Room, including the Jukebox and games machines.

And Careers Officer:

i. The provision of career and postgraduate-related information to the JCR.

ii. Maintaining and updating the Careers noticeboard.

iii. Maintaining and expanding links with the Oxford University Careers Service, and sending a regular Careers Email to the JCR containing information from this and other sources.

iv. The position of Career Rep will be husted for in the 4th OGM of Trinity.

v. To be involved in the organisation of a specific career event

vi. Liaise with the Development Office.

vii. Fulfil duties as a member of the Careers Service’s Careers Ambassador Programme and, if required, liaise with any student or college members of the Programme who are students at Merton in the provision of careers information.

See you at 8.30pm in the JCR on Sunday, the last OGM of term always includes something interesting so it's worth coming down for...

Sam
